The lab-nation one looks ok. Not sure I can wait another month tho. Might actually make one up myself from multi coloured ribbon cable and an IDE connector. Should have one around here somewhere

I got mine yesterday. Not had a chance to give it a thorough test but it looks sturdy and the software looks decent. Anyone know of a plug and cable that fits the logic port with a longer cable? I find the supplied leads a little short. As you say its great for portability. Took a while to get here ...

Thats a lot of money. You could make a project with simpler individual components which are all available on flowcode. but first you need to decide what functionality you will need and there fore which components. How do you set the clock for example? You have a buzzer, i assume thats for an alarm. ...

I too have the pickit5 after using pickit 4 for years. I found that if you allow mplab to import the settings from your older install then it will copy over all necessary settings including programming speed
