I too have the pickit5 after using pickit 4 for years. I found that if you allow mplab to import the settings from your older install then it will copy over all necessary settings including programming speed

I see the above PIC is now listed. Great and thanks. However the version I have is TQFP 44 pin form factor, which doesnt match the version in flowcode and hence the pin configuration isnt the same. How can i utilise this or does it require a separate component added to the library?

Ive been using icsp all along. I load the hex file into MPLAB and program via that. There's a bit of set up to do but once done you never have to touch it. You load it as a p rebuilt file.
