Re: PIC18F25K22 UART ERROR
Hi Unfortunately I can't really do much with hardware just now. Limiting factors will be the collection of data, transmission and subsequent reception by Excel. There are two delays that need to be considered in the transmitter(s). In the ESP_Send macro when we tell the module we are sending a strin...

Re: Ethernet RS232 / 485
Hi
Between the gadget and your Pi it's tcp/ip so bidirectional. It's only half-duplex between gadget and RTU, well unless I've missed something (easily done)

Hi
I think I've seen something similar. When I open a previous chart pins seemed to have changed. Couldn't say for certain though.
Maybe in a similar vain to this ? viewtopic.php?p=14350#p14350

Re: Ethernet RS232 / 485
Hi
I think your modules are self contained ModBus RTU's and are half-duplex, so would it not handle direction automatically? You would (presumably) send a read command and it would do the rest. Do you have a link to the datasheet / manual for setting up the RTU's?

Re: Ethernet RS232 / 485
Hi
I think the components allow four (0-3) channels to be used simultaneously. Not knowing frequency of polling I simply suggested closing. This would potentially give four concurrent connections.

Re: PIC18F25K22 UART ERROR
Hi Sorry to hear of your health issues and hope you are feeling better now. I need to refresh myself with the project, but I think the limiting factor will be the speed (and subsequent processing) of the transmission link. To send 100 messages per second means everything must be done in less than 10...

Re: Ethernet RS232 / 485
Hi I've not had a chance to download anything yet but I thought it provided two independent IP addresses, one for each TTL interface? Is it instead just one IP address but differing ports (e.g. 192.168.1.100:10001 / 192.168.1.100:10002 ) ? If so then you can specify the address and port to connect t...
