PIC Multiuart

Hi Ben
I normally use your DSPIC 40P ECIO however in most of my projects but i notice this is now on extended delivery
However i have a couple of SPI to 4 x UART Bridge MULTIUART SPI2UART spare and also a pickit 3
Presume i can reprogram to accept new small flowcode programs
is the pin layout on the board the same as pickit 3 and any hints / advice
Or alternatively could i load a boot loader program and if so how
