Hi Martin,

Sorry about the delay, got a big project and just got busy.

That worked. It still gives a memory error. but it does program and run after i set the config bits.

So was it a mismarked chip or is it something in FC?

Anyway, now back to the project.

Thanks,
Chad

Hi.
At least you are now able to program, which is the main thing.
No, it's not a Flowcode issue, it's down to Microchip as they would have printed and programmed the device ID

After a little time with it, the file you made has some problem with one of the ports on the chip. Maybe FC can do a fix and get it up to snuff.

But at least now I can talk to it.

Thanks again!

Chad
p.s. how many times do I need to post before they don't need to be manually verified?

Hi.
You're welcome.
What port are you having an issue with?
Your posts should no longer require verification.
If they do, then I will send an email to a colleague to get it sorted for you.

Hopefully I've sorted this for you now. Normally, a new user is allowed to post without requiring moderator approval after 3 posts (I think). This should be automatic but for some reason it didn't happen to your account.

Hi martin, I was testing with a led strip and for some reason it wouldn't let me pick pin 1. I had to move it to pin 11 I think. I have been super busy and haven't played with it lately. I have some time and will be getting back into it. Usually what happens is I get inspired to do something then I run into a problem like this and by the time I get it going I lost the motivation that got me gong in the first place. :) Add to that fact that I had to reinstall everything after a , dragged kicking and screaming to update my machine from win 7 to 10. Then i couldn't get my pickit 4 to work and had to dig for my pickit3...
I also am not getting email reminders that there is a new response from here. I have been through my settings and it has my email but can't find a switch to get emails on new posts. Being in the states there is usually a day lag in responses...

Anyway I am going to get back to it here for a bit so I will probably have some more questions.

Thanks for your help.

Steve: I'll let you know if I still have the post auth thing.

Chad

edit* post went through
edit** I just opened the project again and this time it let me pick the original pin I was using.?
