Thanks for the suggestion I'll investigate these displays for you. They may already be compatible with the ILI9341 display library if you want to give that a go but I will put it on the list to have a proper investigation.

I bought some of these displays from Aliexpress but unfortunatley what arrived was some cables! So they got sent back.

I'll try again and see if I can source a different display.

I've managed to track one down for a good price and even better it should arrive tomorrow.

Pls, where did you bougth it, and which of them did you buy 86 or 88?

I suppose it will be as fast as the other ILI9341 SPI with ESP32

This is the one I bought, It lists a variety of controller IC's so I'm hoping that they are all compatible.

It looks like the driver has a SPI and parrallel interfaces.

The display I got is hard wired for the parrallel interface so it would be interesting to try and find a SPI version to play with as well.

They both should be very fast with the ESP, the parrallel should have the edge over the SPI but it's down to how fast I can make the I/O go.

My display arrived and it's working great, it's hard wired to the 8-bit interface so atm that's the only component and configuration I've tested but I've added the SPI version too as it just seemed to work first time which is always nice.

Both the ILI9488 and ILI9488 SPI components should now be available via the update system.
