Project Explorer - Tree Structure of Panel Components

Post by jay_dee »

Hi,
Project Explorer - components list
If items are in packaged in groups or nested groups within groups.
Could we have a option to view all of the components in a tree structure, as they are grouped.
This could help navigate/manage larger 2D/3D Panel constructions.
Ideally through a context menu or similar, if its buried within a settings menu it would be slow to toggle between the views.
thanks, J.

Thanks for the suggestion. I will add it to my list.

The component list in the drop-down at the top of the "component properties" window is already nested by group, so you could use that to navigate. If you select the component there then that component's macros are listed in the "macros" tab of the property page. For some projects, this might be an easier way to navigate the list.

Note that the components lists in "project explorer" and in the "component properties" drop-down are listed in case-sensitive alphabetical order, which may help finding them in big projects.

Thank you steve,
Yes Martin just pointed me in the direction of that tree structure! :)
It works well, being able to pin it open would be nice but it currently just what I need.
