Problem with the installation ESP32

Post by SpeedPIC32 »

Hello Team

I used to have a version that worked.
that was longer ago when I experimented with it.
now it did not work anymore.
I have uninstalled the old version and reinstalled it according to the instruction PDF from Ben.
Error " FAILED: build.ninja "
Who can help?

With kind regards

Hello,
I tried it like this.
idf.py build says it cannot find the file
does the file have to be in this directory?

with kind regards

Please can you attach your msg.txt file so we can investigate further.

Might also help to see the paths to your Flowcode Project, ESP IDF and ESP IDF Tools folders.

Please try to run 'idf.py fullclean' to solve it quickly.
Maybe try what is suggested above (using the ESP-IDF Command Prompt)

Re: Problem with the installation ESP32

Hi
I have uninstalled FC and ESP32 and Phython and and....
reinstalled everything, deleted directories because it was not possible to uninstall them
installed different versions of Phython, ESP-IDF and Tools etc.
in different directories etc.
result: does not work.
and now new :installation is aborted by error.
I don't get it.
For the stupid, what do I have to do?
Which version to install where?
What must be installed first?
What has to be started where?
What do I have to enter where?
Do I have to restart FC in between?
Why can't I uninstall and reinstall everything...?
Couldn't such problems be solved with the TEAMviewer software?
Then it would have been done long ago.
What do you think

Make some suggestions

With kind regards

Hi.
That is caused by installing a later version than stated within the ESP32 Toolchain Installation guide.
Toolchain from the ESP32 site for some odd reason shows v2.3 within the file name, but as you can see it's v2.9
Can you completely uninstall your current version and delete the ESP folders.
Download the toolchain from here
It might be best to disable AV, in case it interferes with the install progress.
Follow the ESP32 Toolchain Installation guide step-by-step and select the nearest version the guide states and not the latest versions.
I installed 4.1.2 release version.
If that is not available, then anything that has 4.1 in it.
4.1 release branch should also work if 4.1.x release version not available
Also, delete the new folders that are created when you compile a project.
There are normally named the same as the project folder but will have underscores.
You can also try restarting your PC after installation.

Hi medelec35
The software wants to install itself here.
See pictures.
Can you tell me if it works like this or what do I have to change here?
