ENCODER

Hi

Have used the encoder with interrupt previously with no problem

However tried to use today in simulation in a new program but does not appear to be working ie sometimes it changes sometime not and then appears to freezes

So as a check I decided to revert back to your sample in wiki and got similar erratic results
Note the wiki appeared to work but stopped counting after 25 and froze

Can you please check that no changes this year have affect the encoder

Have included the wiki file i used

David

Hi David,

Working well here. I noticed the sizes on the panel were a bit off so I've adjusted things slightly and hopefully it works better for you now.

Hi Ben

Thanks but still not working correctly

As before moving the knob up to around 25 to 28 works fine

But then often the knob freezes and does not increase further ie the knob stops moving

if i then move the knob downwards it moves down and then often freezes again but then i can increase it by 1 or 2 before it freezes again

If i run the debug multiple times sometimes it appears to fully work

Confusing

David

Hello,

I've ran the simulation a handful of times here and can't manage to replicate the problem. Are you running version 9.2? If not then updating to this might help the problem.

Ben

Yes running 9.2 could it get corrupted in anyway ?

Have checked windows performance whilst running it and no obvious windows problems

I wonder if any others in the forum could run it and see if they have similar problems

As hitting a brick wall until i can overcome it
