Open projects with german letters are aborted

Post by Jorg_Guldner »

Hello!

All my projects can be open with all older programs. V9 aborted if there are german letters like "äöüÄÖÜ" in the file name.

Hello Jörg,

Thanks for the bug report. It seems like launching the Flowcode file by double-clicking it has the problem. However, running Flowcode directly and opening the file from the "file...open" menu seems to be ok. Is this what you are experiencing?

I will try to implement a fix in a later update of Flowcode.

As a workaround, you can either open projects from the "file...open" menu, or rename the project file so it does not use these problematic characters.

HTH,
Steve.

I have just looked into the problem and the fix was fairly easy. The ZIP attached to this post contains a new version of the launcher exe (this now one is v9.0.1.2).

To fix your issue, download and unzip this file and replace the <FlowcodeLauncher.exe> file which is in the "launcher" folder of your Flowcode installation.

Please let me know if this works ok for you.

Hello!
The Launcher is working. I could open a project by double clicking on it without any errors.
Well done!

Regards

Jörg
