Hopefully it works for you now. You'll need to set osccon for your required clock etc.
You might need to adjust the speed in properties too - if FOsc/4 doesn't work try FOsc/16 - I found the displays are quite sensitive to the quality of the wiring - use short good quality jumpers if breadboarding the project for example.
