Hello Matrix staff.
It is possible to have a Dark background tone that leans towards gray like FC7. I note that FC10 is almost similar to FC9 indeed perhaps identical in terms of layout. It was also reported in the FC9 forum that the Dark shade too black a background tends to hide icons and cursors.

If you go to File > Global Settings you will see various option tabs. Under Scheme you will find options to choose whatever component/background colours suit you best.

Yes - the "Scheme" under Global Options allows you to customise the flowchart background colour and the Component Panel backgrounds can also be customised.

Unfortunately the main colour scheme of the other windows cannot be customised at this time, but I will add it to my list for consideration in a future update.
