Hi All
I have a third party programmer that works fine at home but on my work laptop when I try and compile to target it comes up with pickit2 not found. I have just got IT to reinstall the 8bit and 16bit toolchains but this made no difference.
Any help would be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Pete

hi Pete, I don't believe its a Flowcode issue.
You could have a PICkit2 driver issue.
Two thing to try.
Check in device manager and see if there is a yellow exclamation next to PICkit, if you do, its a drivers issue.
Do you have PICkit 2 programming software?
If so, see if that can detect PICkit2 hardware.

Hi Martin will look tomorrow thanks. However, the same programmer works at home no issue although I haven't managed to sort out ICSP I may have to resort to ZIF sockets but that could be asking for trouble with students!

Hi Pete, did you get it sorted, and what is the issue with ICSP?
What are the target devices?
One important factor, there are lots of target devices that have VPP at 9V or less.
Therefore the PICkit2 will require a current limiting resistor at the minimum to program VPP at 9V or less.
Or use a PICkit3/4 or ASIX Forte which unlike PICkit2 has a variable VPP output.
