I am not familiar with spi, but I have included what I've tried so far.
As far as I know, this should be sufficient to make the ShiftBrite work.

Purchase of Flowcode
When I purchase Flowcode, is my license delivered electronically? I'd like to get rid of the limitations in the trial version, and I want to avoid paying for shipping to the US, if at all possible.
