Hello Jonny and Martin,
At the moment, I've been moved on to another crisis project. However, I will work with your excellent suggestions at the beginning of next week, and will post my results as soon as I can.
Thank you very much for all of your help,
Ron

Re: printing of diagrams, v5 versus v4
Hello Jonny, I agree that using the HTML format gives us a wide range of applications that can read and print the flow diagrams. However, I have uncovered an oddity with the generated gif files (and perhaps with Windows7). If I use Microsoft Paint to view a gif created by the project report, and zoo...

Re: printing of diagrams, v5 versus v4
Hello Steve, I've got a handle on your "Project Documentation", which turned out to be "Create Project Report" in the menu. I used Firefox to preview that generated HTML, and then print the file. I discovered that Firefox 9.0.1 has printing issues (such as cutting of portions of ...

Re: printing of diagrams, v5 versus v4
Hello Steve,
I just looked through the Flowcode help for "project documentation", but didn't turn up anything. I did find an export Wizard under "create project report" menu option. Is this what you are referring to?
Thanks,
Ron

printing of diagrams, v5 versus v4
Last week, when I used Flowcode4 and printed a current project, the flow diagrams would fit within the width of page (I use 11 x 17 paper in portrait mode). Is there any way to get Flowcode5 to do the same? Today, when I printed that same project from Flowcode5, the diagram overflowed the limits of ...

Re: 16LF1827 & 16F1827
Hello Benj,
The only minor bug that I've come across is that enabling the "Auto Clear Watchdog" timer doesn't seem to work. Since the watchdog isn't critical at this point in the project, I'm going to disable it in the configuration file.
Thanks,
Ron

Hi Rosenbaum,Rosenbaum wrote: @1: You have to set the clockspeed in a "C-Code"-block manually. In the Datesheet on Page 67 you will see the correct dataword(s).
Would you know Flowcode4's corresponding variable or constant that I would update with the PIC data word?
Thanks,
Ron

16LF1827 & 16F1827
In using Flowcode 4.5 with a PIC16F1827 and PIC16LF1827, I discovered the following: 1) The configuration window for the 16 F 1827 doesn't now let you select the Intosc freq if you have configure the chip for an internal oscillator. It seems to default the chip to the 125 kHz clock. 2) While the chi...

Benj, keep me in mind if you need a beta tester. Thanks.

Re: 16F1827 hex compiler errors
I checked BoostC's forum and learned that they were to released a file for the 16F1827 in March of 2010. Do Matrix have the updated chip files? Do you have a newer version of BoostC that I need to install?
Thanks,
Ron

16F1827 hex compiler errors
I've created a project using a Microchip 16F1827. The C code compiles without incident. However, when I "compile to Hex", I get errors such as this: ......................... Y:\seat heater\Mini User Control Switch\FLowcode\16f1827.v1.c(102:2): error: unknown identifier 'trisa' Y:\seat hea...

Re: "access violation" error in print preview
Bug? Awwwww....
I was thinking that Flowcode4 had an excellent feature of allowing you to print from each tab or at least preview each tab without getting out of preview mode. Perhaps this could be added as a feature in the next version?
In any case, thank you for your time.

"access violation" error in print preview
Hello, I had one of my Flowcode V4 programs opened and had launched the "print preview" window for the "main" tab of my code. When I click on any of the other macro tabs to preview them, I get an error (picture attached): "access violation at 0x0047DCF1 (tried to read from 0...

Re: what is best setup?
Thank you, Ben.
On an unrelated note, I have a FLow4 question but can't find the "new topic" button after I've signed in. What magic step am I missing with this forum?
Thanks,
Ron

what is best setup?
My company finally purchased the Microchip PM3 programmer (with MPLab v8.56) and I would like use it with my Flowcode v4.3.7.63 profession edition and a 16F723a chip. What is the best set up? 1) Should I "compile-to-chip" from within Flowcode and send to the PM3? If so, how do I get Flowco...

Re: 16F723 vs 16F723A
Thank you! Those reports will help immensely!
Do you know if there are any issues with compiling to an actual 16F723A with 16F723 selected as the target?

16F723 vs 16F723A
1) In setting up my first Flowcode4 project, I noticed I can select a PIC16F723 but not the 'A' version. Will this make a difference when I do a final compile for the 16F723A? 2) How can I determine if my Flowcode is going to be bigger than the memory limits of chip? thank you for your time and atte...
