What am I doing wrong on the PCA9685 PMW controller?
I'm hoping someone here has some experience with the PCA 9685 PWM controller (16 channel, I2c interface). So far everything is working pretty well after getting the circuit connected properly. I'm using a Picobuck LED driver to drive this high power RGB LED. PCA 9685 datasheet: http://www.kynix.com/...

How does a battery balance and protection circuit work?
I am building a 4S LiPo battery pack that I would like to incorporate in a portable speaker project and I need to make sure the batteries will never require maintenance beside replacing them completely in 5 years or so. The batteries I am using are NCR18650B so they should be pretty decent. I am usi...

Re: Brightness issues driving 10*11 SMD 5050 LEDs matrix
Hello, What power supply are you using in terms of Voltage and Current? Are you using a voltage regulator in your circuit, what is the current capacity of this and is it getting hot? 10 * 11 = 110 * guestimated 20mA = 2.2A max current with all LEDs lit at once. What series resistors are you using? ...

Brightness issues driving 10*11 SMD 5050 LEDs matrix
I'm working on driving a 10*11 LEDs matrix by a µC since a while, and I decided to come to you because I'm a bit surprised/annoyed by my results. So, I first started with simple 5mm white LEDs either 74HC595 or TPIC6B595 shift registers for driving rows and columns, as it seems to be a kind of "...

Help! TLV320AIC3100 Enabling Class-D on speaker
Hi, I'm working with the TLV320AIC3100 bought from http://www.kynix.com/Parts/3586720/TLV320AIC3100EVM-U.html connected to an AM3358. We're using the speaker output, and I seem to be unable to enable the Class-D Speaker Driver - I'm writing 0x86 to page 1 register 32, but when I read it back it just...
