Found the problem!
This PC had an old version installed. Although I used the add/remove software option, obviously it didn't do the job properly. Only now, after installing to a different folder, is the new version of the software running.

Demo version to control the Buggy?!
Hi, I would like to do a demo of the formula flowcode buggy tomorrow at an open day. Is there a demo version of flowcode that contains the buggy modules. When I load the test examples provided, I get a warning that the demo is written in a newer version. Also the formula flowcode component is missin...

Hi Ben, Looks like that may be the problem! Thanks Ben. I had already attached the board to the chassis before I made the electrical connections. When the board is the correct way up, the cross over doesn't happen - the left connection is above the left motor etc. I either didn't read ...

Random Output on power-up
Hi, I have been tinkering with the new components. A simple routine I wrote was like this... Delay 1s LEDOn 0 WaitForSwitch 1 WriteLEDs = 0 When this is downloaded, I expect that after 1 second, the first LED should light until I press the button. After programing, after the 1 second, I get a random...

Still stuck in reverse
Hi Ben, Well done to you all for the new components for the Buggy. The components and test routines are fantastic. Right, I still have the same problem with the buggy using the new components. Assuming the line-following circuit is at the "front" of the buggy, then... "Forwards" ...

Buggy only reverses
Hi, I've used the example flowcode to get the buggy moving with PWM - in reverse (assuming the line following module is at the "front"), but not forwards. Also, using the turn example, the buggy turns with one motor stopped, and one turning instead of them going opposite directions, so aga...

PWM with FF Buggy
Hi, Having read Ben's instructions, I am now a little confused about the table of speeds at the bottom of the article. I understand with PWM, a set voltage is applied to the motor for a set period of time, and then switched off for a period of time. By switching the power on and off with different r...

Thanks Steve. I unplugged the buggy, booted the laptop from scratch, and installed the software directly from the installer in the ZIP file. I then plugged in the buggy, and selected Automatic install when asked. At the end of the install, the following message appears... ---------------------------...

Hi Ben, I think these were the drivers I tried. Anyway, no luck. Same problem, the install of the drivers ends with an error, and that’s why the whole thing starts up again. I have just plugged the FF buggy into a newer laptop with USB2, and it all installed ok from the drivers you suggested...

USB1 Problems detecting FF
Hi, I am having troubles installing the buggy on a laptop with USB1 not USB2. I plug the buggy in, LED RD0 and RD1 both flash together, and the new hardware detection wizard starts after a bubble pops up saying Found New Hardware Formula Flowcode Buggy I try to install the usb driver either from the...

Version 3.2 required?!
Hi Ben, I installed the full version of flowcode to get the pwm working. When trying to compile your code, it complained the the pwm models was missing, even though I bought the full version only last week. Think it was 3.1xxx I downloaded the newest version, and the complier is now happy with the c...

Battery problems
Hi, I too had problems with a loose battery, but as noted, I bent the terminal out a bit to get a better spring action. I have used this type of chassis before, and you also have to watch out for the joining steel wire (between the 2 battery packs) as it wasn't soldered to the battery contacts in th...
