EB006 multiprogrammer

Hi all,

I am facing problem with the multiprogrammer,i think that chip mounted on MCU multiprogrammer got damaged somehow. Can i replace it by local chip? or the original chip contain some program in it ? I need suggestion.Please help me out.

Hi

I assume you mean the device that is at the top of the board near Port E, rather than the PIC that is supplied with the board.

If your programmer is V6 or earlier, you will be able to get a new device from matrix, however from V7 with the device being surface mount, changing it is not an easy option.This chip contains the firmware that allows the programmmer to communicate with flowcode via PPP3, so a local sourced device wont have the firmware in it.
Im sure the guys at marix will post an answer as to how to get the device, when the open on Monday.
