Bluetooth Module Query...

Post by Sparkoids »

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the Bluetooth E-Block can be (easily!) set up as a keyboard?

In other words can it act as a Bluetooth keyboard please?

Best regards,

James :-}

Hi James,

Here is a link to the module datasheet.

And here is a link to the AT command set for the module.

I think the Bluetooth class is controlled by the AT+BTC command though you will have to find the correct value to represent a Bluetooth keyboard from the Bluetooth specifications.

I'm guessing it's the HID profile you need. Not sure how you then enumerate the HID device over the Bluetooth connection? Maybe you simply transmit the same data as you do when you create a USB HID device? The data for this can be found in the USB HID component properties or there may be an example somewhere online of someone else doing this.

No unfortunately I missed it as I don't have Sky it but cheers for your message.

I will have a hunt online and see if I can find a copy to watch. Main annoyance at the moment is that you get a whistling noise from outside through the holes in the chassis for the tweeters, I've seen a way to make this better but its a bit of a mission for such a small problem.
