Is there a way to set the WDT to have a custom amount of time to be triggered?

Hi Andreas,
Setting are determined by what target device you have.
Here is a link for you to look at:

What I would suggest is look at the datasheet for device that's stated in the above link and see if you can follow how value of register is determined for the calculations given.

If you state the target device then I can see if I can help you further.
