Hi,
Wht power supply would be best to use for the HP-488-00-3 development board?
I'm not really sure what voltages to use, etc...
Thanks for any help

Re: Power Supply For HP-488-00-3
We usually use power supplies with a 13.5v setting. This is required for the normal 'high voltage' programming mode of the PIC devices. The supply voltage can be applied to power input jack (J28) or the power supply terminals (J26/J27).
The power jack input is connected to a bridge rectifier so that either polarity of plug connection can be used, but some of the supply voltage is lost across the rectifier. The terminal connections are direct, so a slightly lower voltage could be used.
Generally, supplies in the range 12v to 14v can be used, depending on the programming specification of the target chip.

Thankyou, that's really helpful...
Hopefully I can dig out a suitable power supply somewhere.
