Hi
Ive finally got round to ordering a MIAC, been having a look at the sample programs and are looking forward to playing with it.
I assume, like the ECIO modules, If I load /erase the MIAC via flowcode or its own programmer software, I wont be able to accidentaly delete / corrupt the bootloader installed in it.
Thanks

You programm via Flowcode and don't need any other software installed. You just select Miac as a target device, then just send to target once you have developed flowchart.
You don't need to worry about overriding boot loader, or the configuration settings as its all taken care for you.

If you do want to program it with a hex file you can just use the MIACprog.exe (bundled with Flowcode) to load it in without affecting the bootloader

I thought that would be the case with it.

Hi John,
Sorry I did not mention MIACprog.exe.
I have never used it, since I do all the programming via Flowcode.
So just plain forgot

You just need to bear in mind that not all i/o's are available of 18F4455 on the miac, So you need to refer to the chip diagram on the miac target, or the quick programming guide (Which I can't find on the web site. Probably due to my old age and eyesight blah blah)

But just in case I have attached the guide.

Thanks Martin

Ive had the Miac document printed out for a while.
Just had it powered up and run the test program thats loaded in it, all seems to be working
Just installed the USB driver and found a spare mini usb cable to use with it.

Yer ive seen the Miac prog program, though I shall proberbly like you stick to using it with flowcode.
