Type of PC to use with Flowcode

My laptop is dying fast and needs replacing. It occurs to me that I could get a tablet or a netbook instead of current normal laptop. Are there any restrictions to running Flowcode on these? Presumably has to be MS Windows. The small screen could be a problem as I struggle even on my current 14” screen.

Flowcode should work on any type of Windows XP->7 for definate, screen size doesnt matter too much but from personal experience I've always found Flowcode easier to work with on larger screens, at home i dual screen and its great for having help files/datasheets on one screen and your Flowchart on another, with all the additional useful windows that can be used in Flowcode v5 (Project Explorer and Bookmarks/Breakpoints) i find larger screens easier to work with.

Hi,
I agree with David 100%. I feel quite comfortable using FC in my uni machine in comparison to home laptop. Large screen helps me a lot especially if the program is too large and you need to scroll to see the macros. I always prefer to turn annotations on which takes bit more space.

Forgot to mention, will Windows 8 be a problem?

Windows 8 is in our thoughts at the moment, we will be looking into it shortly and ensuring that everything works as planned...

Just use a Mac - I have yet to come across a desktop or laptop where Flowcode doesn't run perfectly...
Sound's like I'm on a crusade but MPLAB is now native as well....
