Please help. I'm using flowcode4 with pickit2 downloading to a 16f887 and am unable to set up rb0 as an output. Tried the flashing led trick to no avail. The rest of the port works fine. I know that it is not flowcode as I have also used mikro C to write a simple program to flash port b and get the same results. No rb0. Any help would be appreciated.

Can you post your flowchart, and hex file please.
I can then look into this for you.
I would have said Sounds like a configuration or programming issue.
But with you saying rest of port works, that blew that theory out of the window

I have a 16F690 with the same problem on RA5. Everything else works fine and since the chip is not drawing any excess current I just broke the pin off and still use it for testing. After reading daveb0360's remarks in this post http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforum ... age#p30756 I think i know why it happened. I try to be a bit more careful now.
