How does one make these work? Apparently there's a 5-second rule for uploading, when the device is first plugged in to USB, it'll remain programmable for 5 seconds, then runs its loaded code otherwise.

Can I use this with FlowCode? It doesn't show up as a com port in project properties, though if I could plug it in just as it checks it might see it?

Otherwise, I suppose that feature could be disabled in hardware (or a firmware/bootloader change, I've read) effectively making it a "trinket".

Any advice on where to start, or is the real answer "Find a PIC cause that's what FlowCode is best at"?

Frankly it'd be reasonable advice if that was the answer, one decent controller is as good as another to me at this point.
