Standard and commercial licence

Post by Slobodan »

I have standard licence, and I was wondering, can I as a hobbyist sell products that where made using FlowCode if I am not a company?

I mean, I understand that if I had a company, that I would need to buy a commercial licence. But, if I would to make something and sell like 30 or so of those products in a year for 50 Euros a piece or so, by opening a listing on something like eBay? Would I still need to buy a commercial licence?
I know that in almost all countries, people who do this do not have to pay any taxes if they earn less then like 10.000$ a year or something, and if they are private persons (not a company). Like what people do in adds. Well, most of them just import and resell stuff, but some of them sell their DIY products too.

I expect the answer will be no, but I wanted to make sure. Not that I actually have any product that I could make and sell now :( but I would like to have it in the future as a hobby and a way to earn some extra money.

Hello,
I know that in almost all countries, people who do this do not have to pay any taxes if the earn less then like 10.000$ a year or something, and if they are private persons (not a company). Like what people do in adds. Well, most of them just import and resell stuff, but some of them sell their DIY products too.
Beware the $10,000 dollars or what ever the value is in your country includes your working wage. i.e. if you are paid more then the threshold as part of your job then anything you sell (including DIY items) should be taxed in the eyes of the tax office.

As a hobbyist looking to make a few extra quid I don't think we will come chasing after you. However if you do find you are selling more and it becomes viable for you then we do appreciate the support, the more money we get for Flowcode the more we can justify pouring into developing and supporting the current and next iteration.

For a professional organisation or institution we would expect them to purchase a pro license or they are breaking the terms of the license agreement.

Thanks. :D

Yes, that amount of 10.000$ is including the salary. I don't actually know what amount is in my country for that, but I earn about 2-3.000$ less than that in a year on my job (including bonus), so...

Yeah, I mean if I would to earn a few times the price of the commercial licence, I would buy it for sure.
