SPI MAX6675 and MAX31865 components support.

Hello,
there are very cheap SPI interface boards to use K-Type thermocouples and PT100 sensors for temperature readings.
It would be nice to have these components in FC7. Any hope?

Thanks
Giuseppe

Looking at the datasheet for the Max6675 it looks as though it should be pretty straightforward.

Anyone want to lend me a chip (or two) and a thermocouple (for testing :) )- I'd certainly be willing to do a simple component for either (or both) - and could return the parts afterwards....

Hello Steve,
the Application Note is fine but I know the theory.
If you want to design yourself a driver for RTDs reading that's fine but if you don't have much time and you want a component ready to use in your project, then look at something like this:

or this:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/MAX31855-K-Typ ... fc7rbALfPA

For a couple of € you have the board ready to use!

It should be an easy component to add to FC7. It's just a variable reading by SPI protocol.
I'm confident somebody will do.

Thanks
Giuseppe
