Hi John,

Slow compile times are one of the reasons we moved away from the BoostC compiler used for 8-bit PIC devices in Flowcode 6. If you have an antivirus running which is actively checking the running compiler executable then this can make the problem a lot worse.

Hi Benj

Thank you for the information.

? Has Flowcode 6 BoostC compiler been upgraded. I do notice my Team FC complies in seconds. I know it is a smaller design over my Master Flowcode.

Hello Benj,

I just reformat 20 pc. I now very slow in the complication (3mn compilation instead of 30s on my other pc in w7 and w10).
I have the same antivirus on all posts and I can not explain why these 20 posts are very very slow.
I never had this problem before ...Where can the problem come from?

Hi Bruno,

Flowcode v6 is a lot slower to compile compared to v7 and v8. Could this be the cause?

Hello,

Small feedback:
In high school, it's my antivirus (Trenmicro) that blocks the compiler bootc_18f.exe on windows10 but not posts on win7 !!!
At home, it's windows defender that blocks the compiler. Two registry keys need to be changed to disable live virus and spayware scanning.
