Hello

Have you done anything to cause this regulator to blow. I have done a lot of testing with the EB043 and found no problems.

You can replace the regulator if you are sure that this is causing the problem.

We use a 3V T0252 style regulator from National Semiconductors.

can we replace the regulator by manually de-soldering the previous one or is there any other way of replacing it?

Hello

I cant think of any other way unless you have a hot air gun. This will make the job of heating up all three pads at the same time a lot easier. Let us know how you get on.
