Hello dear sir,

Need your technical assistance with AVRISP mkII tool.

I have installed the USB driver for AVRISP mkII and connect the AVRISP
mkII with PC and assembled ATMEL AVR board with LED e-block at Port A
.The status LEDs were GREEN on both side of AVRISP mkII. The LEDs were
chasing. The board test gone OK.

Then sir, i have erased the ATmega32 and programed it for my first
program to lit a LED on LED block. After programing the ATmega32 a LED
light up on port A with D0.

But sir, while i was expoloring settings for AVRISP mkII in AVR Studio
i have accidentally pressed the upgrade button and AVRISP mkII goes to
upgrade mode. Now the problem is that after connecting USB cable and
attaching AVR board to AVRISP mkII. AVRISP mkII status LED is blinking
orange in spite of correct ISP cable connection and while trying to
program the board an error message pops-up that target board not
connected.

Second problem is that while i am disconnecting the USB cable and is
connecting only AVR board to the AVRISP mkII the status LED doesn't
lit and remains off and programed LED D0 at Port A goes off and when i
lift-off the stripe cable from AVR ISP connector on board the
programed LED D0 lit again.

I have followed all troubleshooting procedures in AVR Studio's help
section along with Manual Firmware Upgrade procedure, but problem
persists as it is. Please let me assist how to fix the problem. What
is a Reset Line and how to use it to reset the AVRISP mkII.

Hello

You should be able to download the latest firmware for the AVRISP programming module from Atmel's website. Sounds like a simple firmware upgrade. This should let you get your programming board up and running again.

Hi im new with avr's I just purchased flowcode 4 for avr (ver 4.3) and a avrisp mkii programmer and I'm using windows 7. How do I get my programmer to work and how do I get my chip configuration to work, thanks in advance Rob (p.s I did not install avr studio)
