Hi,

Several months ago I saw (Microchip web site) what appeared to be some, soon to be released DIP packaged PIC's that had built in support for 2 COM ports.

I have not used Flowcode for a few months and was wondering if you currently/will/have added any of these chips to the support list. I would like to be able to communicate vis RS232 to 2 slave boards from my main controller board.

18F24J50 is one of them.

I am still new to much of this. Based on what I think I am reading am I correct that there is 2 RS232 ports on this chip AND do/will you be supporting both COM ports.

Thanks....

Ron

PS - Is there a post that tells me how to install the latest version of Flowocde V3 over the existing version.

Hello Ron

Multi hardware Uart addressing will be coming in Flowcode V4.

For now you can use the bit banging examples from the Flowcode examples page to create as many software UARTs as you require.

Regarding installing the latest version of Flowocode. Sometimes there will be a patch specific to certain installations. Using this you can simply run the patch to upgrade. When no patch is available for your version simply uninstall from the control panel and reinstall the latest version. At the end of the install leave all the license details blank and your old license details will be retained.
