Can anyone point me in the direction of the test files mentioned in the Hp488-00-3 pdf.

The test files for the HP488 can be downloaded from this link:

They are in the 'Downstream Programmer Boards' section, under 'HP488-00-3 Development Board'. Clicking on the 'Precompiled test files' link will initiate the file download.

I already downloaded that file.
It only contains 2 test files:
f_test1.HEX
f_test2.HEX

which are both just walking 1s for the led outputs. One LVP RC and one PSU with xtal.

the data sheet refers refers to other test files in particular Test40.ASM
