PICmicro has not been erased... help !!!

Hello,

I have some problems with transferring software to the pic micros.
I use the EB006 multiporgrammer board.
If I try to transfer the created software to the pic, I get the message that the PICmicro has not been erased.
When I use a new clear (empty) pic it works fine, but only ones.
I tried the same pic in another programmer device, and that works fine.
The hexfile that is created is okay. Program runs without any problems. Even on the EB006 board.
But transferring succeed only ones.
It has worked well till yesterday.

What's going on??
Am I doing something wrong ???
Who can and will help me with this?

Rene

Please tell us more about the situation - especially the config settings, hardware setup and chip type - and we'll try to help further.

Hello,

Since this afternoon it seems to work again. (strange but true)
Maybe another problem with the supply voltage.
This has been a problem from the beginning.
I already have to send back the power-supply ones, because it was not working well.
Hopefully it will work correctly from now.

Thanks for your quick response..... SUPPER !!

I have a similar problem.

I have an 18F2580 on a custom board which I am programming by breaking out from a V3 development board. I programmed it the first time with no problems. The next time I tried to program it I got a "chip failed to erase. Do you wish to continue? error" I hit yes and my custom board stopped working.

I have now found that if I erase the chip using my MPLAB ICD2 I am able to load a program normally using my V3 board.

It isn't a big problem for me, but it is curious.
