Hi evrybody !
I have an Issue with vonnecting my E-blocks to my computer.
It't the first time I tried to use it, ( E-blocks from school, I need to program something with Bluetooth :/ )
So I connected the E-blocks with the usb-cable, pluged in powersuply and ran Flowcode V4.
I rote an easy program just to test it ..
I compield it, all works great, but when I want to download it to my 16F877A it says; "USB cable not connected, Continue?"
No mather what I click, it allways says: "Programming failed: USB device is not connected"

I started to shearch on the Internet;forums and etc

I also checkted the datasheet of the muliprogrammer and it said:

("Windows Vista and Windows 7 do not allow drivers to be preinstalled the same way that older versions of
Windows did. This means that the first time you plug your EB006 into your USB port you will be required
to provide drivers. Simply point the driver installation wizard to the driver files that can be found on our
website. Some USB hardware allows Windows to disable USB devices that it thinks are not being used. This can
cause the message “USB Cable Not Connected” when trying to program the device. There is a simple fix
for this available from here. http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/support ... .php?t=509 ")

but the link doesn't work..
I also tried to do it with drivers,ECIO, check my USB to safe power unvink etc.
but it doesn't work

Can anyone help me please ?!!
I really need it to work ( fast :/ )

I use:
- Windows 7 64bit
- PIC: 16F877A
- EB-006-00-6 Multiprogrammer
- and PPPv3

Thanks alot !
greets Tom Mampaey

ps; sorry about my bad english ..

It sounds like the drivers are not installed for the EB006. The latest drivers can be found on our learning centre.

Hello Pablo,

In your first post you mention the 16F877A device which runs on the EB006 Multiprogrammer board.

Now you are mentioning the ECIO range of devices?

What hardware are you connecting your USB cable to?

An EB006 should connect to the USB and stay connected.

An ECIO should connect to the USB and if the drivers are correctly installed it will then detach itself after around 5 seconds.

Sorry, I thought ECIO and USB where the same here ..
I tried it in school today with the same board, and that worked, so it's no setting on the multiboard.
I re-instaled the PPPv3 but It still said " USB cable not connected "

Please help me ! It's urgent :\

Hey everybody. Im having a big issue with the ECIO 28 driver as any one of my windows 7 machines only see the device for about three seconds in the device manager window so its very hard to install the driver. I got the most up to date driver off the matrix website. I had no trouble with the programming board and the EB006 driver. It worked 100%. I tried manually installing the driver and my system installed it but still no luck, and i even tried changing the compatible for all the different windows operating systems. My laptop is a 32-bit Intel-2 duo laptop with windows 7. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Hello,
Hey everybody. Im having a big issue with the ECIO 28 driver as any one of my windows 7 machines only see the device for about three seconds in the device manager window
This is the normal operation and means you have the ECIO installed correctly. If you want the ECIO to stay connected in device manager etc then simply run the ECIOprog software and then reset the ECIO.
