Flowcode 9 Bugs!

Hi!

Just install trial FC9.

1. Test the Ili9341 because I use it in a project in FC8 (Look here, not working ether https://www.matrixtsl.com/mmforums/view ... 78&t=22469). Only if I go back to version 10 it´s ok. Would be nice if it could be "repaired" too.
So I though maybe it is fixed in FC9. so I could buy FC9 and continue my project, but Ili9341 not work at all and I see that there are more settings for the display, and how to handle these? so I choose to start with a new testprogram. But no matter what I do it not work correctly, or I do something wrong, but I don´t know what these settings are for (please guide)? So as far I see, the FC9 is not backward compatible?

2. The st7789 display is also not working.

3. I made a testprogram for 8bit Pic. It seem to compile but will not upload to the device via EB programmer?

Hopefully we not have to start from beginning again with lot of bug in FC9 like in other version.

A christmas wish. why do we not have a FC9 forum here among the other?

Small hitch with the new site too - couldn't find a create user tab and couldn't log in... Tried my matrixtsl and forum accounts without success (though I've seen mention that matrix login should work..)

In Flowcode v9, we wanted to have a tighter integration with the website in terms of help/support and licensing management. Unfortunately, this forum is old and incompatible with what we wanted, so we created a new forum for v9 support. The new forum should allow us to log users into the forum automatically and upload projects (etc) from within Flowcode.

The colour scheme is not correct at the moment, and I hope we can also enable the scheme to be customised to the user's preference. I hope these issues will be resolved in the near future.

Hello,

1) I'll look at the ILI display problem for you now, not sure what's gone wrong here. If we can fix in v8 then I'll roll it out to v9 which has the new additional options for new fonts etc.

Edit the v9 component looks like it should already be ok. What problems are you having here. A v8 program should open in v9 but you may have to pay attention to the v9 display properties to make sure things have come through ok.

2) This component seems to be very display dependent, we can try and improve this one too.

3) Are you getting any warnings or errors when trying to send to the hardware?

1. But sadly no. Picture ver10 ok But pictue V16 not good. Please have a look on the att. picture. And Ben there is also different problem with the
Ili9143 display in FC9 or is it me who not know how to use the new setting? No matter what I do it only write 9?

2. the st7789 display, would be nice if this also work in FC8 and 9 I can ship you one

3. When I compile in FC9 ( 8bit pic) it compile but not send to the device, no error or warning.

Please can you explain what is and isn't working for the ILI component in v8.

No matter what I do it only write 9?

Also please can you attach your v9 program and I will look at that too. I'm guessing you have selected a font called number which only contains numeric characters, try selecting a different font in the component properties?

It is the Ili9141 seriel. Look above , you are faster than me

Hopefully the new version should be correct again in terms of the rectangle.

It looks like there is also an offset between the earlier version and the new version. Might be worth printing a line from 0,0 to 239, 319 and seeing where it starts and ends to see what is required here.

Hmm so all the text is slightly off in terms of coordinates. Thats very odd. I can't see anything that might cause this in the code.

How does what you have now compare to the simulation?

Yes the same as in real world. I att. the macro. As mentiod, it work in the component macro ver. 10 Is there nothing you can compare from there

Hello,

It looks like your text printing Y coordinates are too high? Not sure how this was working in v10 of the component but what it's doing now appears to be correct based on your coordinates. I'm guessing in v10 it was printing incorrectly and using the bottom coordinate of the text rather than the top.

Ok, so there was a bug in 10 too After correcting the X and Y coordinates with update to ver. 17 everything seem to be ok So now I have to correct the rest of my program. Hopefully no more bugs for the Ili9341 in FC8
