New update for Flowcode V3 (v1.1.3)

There is a new version of Flowcode V3 available. This installation is version 1.1.3 - it fixes a number of minor bugs and adds some German and Spanish help files.

It is recommended that all Flowcode v3 users install this upgrade. This installation may require that you uninstall the previous version of Flowcode V3 (a suitable message will be displayed if this is the case).

When installing, there is no need to re-enter your CD licence key - even if the previous Flowcode V3 version has been removed.

Here's a quick summary of the changes made over the CD version of Flowcode V3 (install version = 1.0.0):

• * New version of flowcode.exe (v3.0.3.28)
  • - fixes slow compile time bug
    - more appropriate messages in nag screen
  * Languages
  • - updated German, Dutch, French, Spanish and Greek versions
    - now includes German and Spanish help files
  * Components
  • - separate help files added for common components in English, German and Spanish
    - help files moved to correct location (ie. Flowcode exe directory)
    - components now launch help files correctly (fromthe property page)
  * Tutorials
  • - all checked and updated
  * FCD (chip definition) files
  • - fixes to ADC code for PIC18Fxx2 and PIC18Fxx8 chips
    - fixes to interrupt code for many PIC12F and PIC16F chips
  * Installation
  • - redone to allow easier patches/upgrades
    - boostC licenses not applied during installation

Hi Steve

It doesnt work correctly - took out all my old stuff first as requested, it then uploads great, but Its not installing the definition files, I use the 877a chip and cant load any of my files and get the error msg

Hello Ian,

This is such an annoying tiny error! In the [Interrupts] section of the 16f877a.fcd file, the line "4=TMR1" is missing (it should come straight after the "3=PORTB" line).

You can edit this file yourself, if you want an immediate fix.

Apologies for the error and thanks for pointing it out. I will modify the installation and put up a quick update this morning.

I have updated the original 1.1.3 download, so anyone downloading this after today should not be affected by this error.

Anyone who has downloaded and installed the 1.1.3 installation before today will need to apply this small "patch" to fix the definition file for the 16F877a:
