When you want to uninstall V4, reason may be a glitch as caused a window or some other problem to display wrong or not function.
I have noticed when there is a problem, just uninstalling and reinstalling is not good enough. Problem was still present.
Before V4 would work again after a problem, I had to go into registry, which is not really recommended, and delete registry entries for V4. (Same with V3)
Uninstalling. Uninstaller should removeV4 registry entries

This is my original post:

Sorry I should of said :Probably all traces of V4 since that could kill two birds with one stone.
As you probably aware, Registry size increases when install then uninstall, since not all software uninstallers remove the associated entries.

Re: Uninstalling. Uninstaller should removeV4 registry entries
The problem with installers is that they can only uninstall the keys that they install in the first place. Most of the changes and additions to HKEY_CURRENT_USER are not actually made by the installer - they are actually made by Flowcode when the "global options" page is edited. This is why the uninstaller does not remove them: it's because it doesn't know they exist.
The other way around your problem is to click the "restore defaults" button after reinstalling Flowcode. This will essentially shift the default values that exist in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE (which are part of the Flowcode installer) into HKEY_CURRENT_USER.

That is useful to know. Will try that. Thanks.steve wrote:he other way around your problem is to click the "restore defaults" button after reinstalling Flowcode. If there is a problem with Flowcode and it needs reinstalling, It would be a good idea to something saying about reinstall then restore defaults on FAQ site?
