Oh my!
During the mishap that i had with FlowKit and which i described in my other topic, i ascertained a new very upsetting thing.
I have downloaded both the manuals of EB006 and of FlowKit. By looking carefully in the schematics of FlowKit, i ascertained that the MCLR/VPP node of J6 connector (which is offered - as i was thinking - for connecting target boards for ICSP) IS TIED CONSTANTLY IN VDD. From the few things that i know about PICs and other simillar devills, i know that this pin (the Nr. 1 pin o 40 pin PICs) MUST BE GO from low to high transition, if we want to erase or to program a PIC. Well, i think this is not implemented (WHYYYYYY?????) in FlowKit.
I have to mention, that i bought the FlowKit for the purpose of Programming-Debugging!
Instead, EB006 offers both possibilities. Programming and Debugging. The same mcu is used in both Flowkit and EB006, the PF4455, but in EB006 it offers 2 lines MCLR/VPP instead in FlowKit NO ONE!
Why Steve?
Why Sean?
I asked you in a previous topic for this. For the differences between FlowKit and EB006. Why you don't said me that the FlowKit it is only a Debugging tool? I asked you for what i had to select. EB006 or FlowKit? Your replies was not clear on this.
Now, be it so, that i resolved the USB communication problems that i have between PPP and FlowKit... I don't know almost nothing about assembly... for this reason i bought the Flowcode... in what it is usefull for me the FlowKit? From the point that it has no possibility for programming?
Excuse me, but i am very despaired. I have:
1) One MPLAB ICD of first version
2) One MPLAB ICD2 including a PICDEMLAB board and a mains addaptor
3) One FlowKit
4) One Flowcode
And i can't program a silly PIC with the ready offered *fcf projects from this forum.
Why?
FlowKit is not Programmer? Is only Debugger?

Re: FlowKit is not Programmer? Is only Debugger?
Hello,
PPP is our PIC programming software that works with out EB006 and HP488 hardware.
The FlowKIT tool only works with Flowcode for debugging purposes. It cannot program other devices and therefore does not work with PPP. However you can string devices such as the ECIO, MIAC etc through the FlowKIT. These devices have their own bootloader so all the FlowKIT is doing is routing the USB connection through to the bootloader on the device.
