PPPv3 Problem EB006 Windows Vista

Post by gonzalza »

I just want to start using the Eb006 i installed the PPPv3 and the driver EB006 USB Board driver. Now i want to program qa chip, when im flow code in menu chp configure the program said cannot load file i clik ok and after this it says Ecio not found.

I click on PPPv3 shortcut and it says NTPORT.DLL was not found, re-installing the application may fix the problem. but it doesn't. Taking into account im using windows vista.

Thank i would like to program even in flow code or MPlab many thanks

Hello,

It sounds like you have the ECIO device set in the project options window in Flowcode.

The ECIO devices use their own bootloader to allow for direct USB programming.

You can change the target device settings via the View menu in Flowcode.

Hello,

It sounds like your trying to use an older version of the PPP software. The latest version can be downloaded and installed from here.

http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/software/PPPv3.exe

Which version of Flowcode are you using?

Hello,

Which PIC device are you using? Is it the standard 16F88 device?

Hello,

It sounds like you have no experience with the EB006. It might be worth your while doing some simple stuff using the 16F88 before you start trying to run.

Otherwise click on the configuration and then click on the expert settings button. Then click autodetect and your device should be detected.

Set up the configuration as required and then click ok and you should now be able to program your device. Let me know how you get on.

Well, i dont try to test with the other pic because i need the 16f874 in my project.

now im getting the same message with a hex file trying to compile directly with PPPv3 or throught flow code demo

Finished reading PICmicro contents
Programming failed:

Program memory check failed

(NOTE: if the PIC is code-protected, this message will be
displayed even if the program has been sent correctly)
That took 4.5 seconds

Return code = 0

FINISHED

The configuration is ok.

Hello,

Ill see if I can dig out an 874 PIC and try and replicate your problems.

Actually the window PIC micro configuration comes slightly different with less gaps than the datasheet shows. this got 9 and the datasheet 13. I dont know why

I tried to program the 16f88 just to see if this EB006 was working. When run it, that is succesfully programmed, and when it detects the 16f88 in configure picmicro, this one automatically fit out internal option to be tick, besides when i switch to expert config screen this window show 13 parameters to be configured exactly the same how it shows in the datasheet. But when i change to 16f877a or 16f874 the most important chips for me to be programmed, look what happens:

In configure picmicro this one does not allow to tick internal option and secondly in the expert config screen this window show just 9 parameters to be configured tottally different than the datasheet i try to reset but it never changes, so i bought this programmer because i was needing it for my project, but i hope i hadn't lost my money, because it is even beautiful PCB but
