HP-629 and Windows 7

Post by simon »

Hopefully the last question for today. We have a HP-629 which is (basically) a programmable board on wheels. When I plug it into a Windows 7 machine it does not seem to detect or show up in the device manager. Is there something I need to do?

Hello Simon,

the buggy needs to be switched on and press the reset switch on it, and it should show up in device manager.

Hello,

The HP629 will only remain attached to the PC for about 5 seconds when the drivers have been correctly installed.

Resetting the device will again allow it to connect to the PC for 5 seconds before your user program starts to run.

If you have open the BuggyProg tool running which is available for download from our website or is also available from the "Flowcode v4/Tools" directory then the device will remain attached to the PC until it is told to reset or the programming tool is closed.
