Camera Component
I have an idea of developing camera component and interfacing to PIC using serial and USB. Example applications are object tracking. storing the image of unknown person etc. I request Matrix Multimedia to analyze the possibility on the same.

Re: Camera Component
Hello,
I have been on the lookout for a good workable camera module for some time. I know this can be done however making it a reality actually prooves very difficult. The last module I found was a camera on sparkfun that looked great. The only problem is that there is no datasheet and no example code which is a bit of a nightmare to get working and then to support.
Therefore if anyone knows of a good module to use then please by all means let me know. Im not saying Matrix will definatley take it on but as you say there are a lot of potential applications that are screaming out for a camera.
As a side note if anyone knows where to get an IR camera from a WII handset then this would also make a great addon to an application. eg supplier and datasheet for the sensor, source of WII handsets doesn't really do it for you.
