programming of the pic18f4520 failed

hi. i am using the eb006 board and i am having a problem programming the pic 18f4520 through the ppp software.i tested the pic by using a different programmer and it looks fine.and i have been using the ppp board to program my other 16f877 pic perfectly.when i try to autodetect it doesnt work.even wen i switch to the expert screen.and wen i do it manually n i hit the send to picmicro button it doesnt recognize the id of the micro.can u please help me? am using the eb006 v7 and the ppp v3,11,15,30

I have done a search of the forum and it seems that other users are programming this chip ok. Which version of PPP are you using? Are you using a stand alone version or are you using one that is included with Flowcode?

am using the stand alone ppp v 3.11.15.30. please have a look of the problem description in the datasheet of the eb006,under troubleshooting lvp oprogramming. the issue is that am not using the lvp and i have done everything described but with no success. after reading the datasheet i thought it was a common issue. maybe u can tell me alternative solutions or causes of my problem. thanks
