PIC16F877A

The Web page on PIC family shows PIC16F877A as a 44 pin device. I thought the programmer and development board only supported upto 40 pins. Am I mistaken and what is the situation with 44 pin devices.

Thanks Keith

Hello Keith

The 44pin package is a surface mount style. The DIP through hole package for the 16F877A has only 40Pins.
