Hello !
I would like to use more than 4 7seg display ( 8 exactly ). I know that I can use 2 macro of 4 7seg display but It use to much pin.
In your example file, you put a 5ms delay between each display. I tested with a 2ms delay and It works very well so with 8 7seg display, I think that the result will be fine.
Is it possible for you to modify the PIC_7seg4.c or it's to hard ? I dont need any simulation, only the possibility to drive 8 7seg display. I tried to understand the code but without success.
Thank you for your help,
Mathy

Re: More than 4 7seg display ?
Hello Mathy,
What about using the single 7 seg display component? You should be able to add as many of these as you like into the program. Give them all a common bus and then create enable lines by using transistors connected to an extra output pin per display.

Re: More than 4 7seg display ?
Hello Mathy
If you use 2 "7 seg display", may be you can use the same port (B7 - B0 )for the segments of the 2 displays and use 1 half of a port (C3-C0) for the "low" display and the other half port (C7-C4) for the 'high" display for the anodes .
You'll use 2 whole ports (like Ben's version) instead of 3.
