hello,

for the 16LF series you need to use the free hitech compiler.

Instructions on how to do this are available here: http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/mmforum ... =26&t=6812

Dave, Could the problem be caused by 16LF1936 not added to PPP.
But 16F1936 is.

So if the HjH adds the 16F19xx fcd range to Matrix Multimedia\Flowcode V4\FCD
Then re-selcts 16F1936 this may solve the poblem?

You need to change

Code: Select all

 #define      option       OPTION
with

Code: Select all

#define    option_reg       OPTION_REG
in the definition file to for your target device.
See:

Hi

if I change "#define option OPTION" with "#define option_reg OPTION_REG" the same error occure.

If I change "option_reg = C0" with "OPTION_REG = C0" then I have no error

What I am doing wrong.

It could be you have a different version of Hitec perhaps?
Developer could have changed the way Hitec compiler works on a new revision, but that's only a guess.
Can you post the contents of error file e.g

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\HI-TECH Software\PICC\9.80\bin\picc.exe --CHIP=16F1824 -N48 HC16f1824Test.c

HC16f1824Test.c: main()

    79:   option_reg = 0xC0;

   ^ (192) undefined identifier "option_reg"

HI-TECH C Compiler for PIC10/12/16 MCUs (Lite Mode)  V9.80

Copyright (C) 2010 Microchip Technology Inc.

(890) Your evaluation period has ended. To continue to experience maximum performance, contact HI-TECH Software to purchase a license. (warning)

(1273) Omniscient Code Generation not available in Lite mode (warning)

(908) exit status = 1

Return code = 1
The only other thing I can think off is:
Go into the Hitec include folder e.g

Code: Select all

C:\Program Files\HI-TECH Software\PICC\9.80\include
if 32bit windows
open pic16F1936.h with a text editor, and do a search for

Code: Select all

option
In my file I have:

Code: Select all

// Register: OPTION_REG
// Option Register
volatile unsigned char           OPTION_REG          @ 0x095;
That's why

Code: Select all

#define    option_reg       OPTION_REG
I believe the upper case word of OPTION_REG within Flowcode definitions file,
has to match upper case word of OPTION_REG within pic16F1936.h
So you may need to check they match 100%

It you can't get it to work still, I wont be able to help you any more, so will have to leave to the experts like Ben.

Hello,

Here is a new definitions file to try. This should be copied into your Flowcode/FCD folder before starting Flowcode. Once you have done this you should no longer require any definitions to be placed into the supplementary code window.

Right click the link and select save as.

http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/software/definitions.h

Let me know how you get on.
