USB is not connect for HP488 on windows 7 32bit

Post by homermen »

Hi, I just bought an HP488, but I'm not able to make it work, PPP v3.9 says that the USB cable is not connecteb. I've read the othre two topics on this subject and also the FAQs.
I've updated the drivers with the one found here http://www.matrixmultimedia.com/softwar ... driver.zip.

Thanks to anyone who could help me.

ps: sorry if my english is not perfect but it's not my native langage.

Hello!

Your english seems good enough to me!

Is the device being shown in your device manager? Start Menu >> Control Panel >> System >> Hardware Tab (win XP) >> Device Manager , please let me know if you can see the device in your hardware list, it is usually under "Custom USB Devices" or something similar.

The device must be plugged in to the computer via USB. J20 must be in the USB position.

Hi, yes it's shown in the device manager as "Matrix PICmicro Programmer".
I've also unclick the "alows computer to turn down the device to save power" (it's a rought translation ^^)
