Hi,
I´am learning GPS and makeing a PCB, but the MAX3002 is very small (TSOP), there is a equivalent circuit in DIP package ?
Thank you

Hi Electron,
Your question has more and electronic than Flowcode character.
But if you visit the Maxim website, you will find your answer. There are 3 pinpackages available for MAX3002: UCSP, TSSOP and QFN. Thus no DIP.
See http://www.maxim-ic.com/datasheet/index.mvp/id/3672
Succes, but do not burn your fingers!

Re: GPS (JUPITER31)
There is also a good way of soldering SMD components like this yourself using a toaster oven.
A full manual is available to buy from here.

Re: GPS (JUPITER31)
There is an easy way to do it yourself with a traditional soldering stift in 4 steps:
1) Start at the upper left pin to the upper left pad. Solder that pin (only that pin) in a way that the IC becomes just in place. Becasue only one pin/pad is used, you can still rorate and move the IC to the proper place.
2) Solder all the pins/pads of the right site. Do not mind to solder the pins together
3) Do the same at the left side.
4) Remove the excess of solder by means of the soldring ribbon (litze wire)
An advice: Try this for the first time with a cheap IC a try to use solder-times as short as possible at the right temperature.
Good Luck
