Moving from Eblocks to "production/prototype"

Post by ndillane »

Hello
I have been experimenting with flowcode, C, EB-006 multi-programmer board and eblocks for a short while.
For learning purposes I am interested in building a small robot as it helps the learning around some of the issues one might encounter when dealing with multiple devices connected to the same PIC (motors, servos, sensors, leds etc)
The EB-006 and eblocks are quite large and don’t lend themselves to incorporation in an end product (as they were not designed for this).
Can anybody offer advice on how I might approach this, I have previous experience with Arduino which is quite suitable for such purposes.
Would I be better off using something like this :
http://www.olimex.com/dev/pic32-pinguino.html

Looks like there aren’t a lot of pins exposed through this though ?

Guess I’d also need some kind of IC programmer also ? Wonder what I ‘d need there also to link Flowcode to this “directly”
Any ideas welcome

Tks
Noel

Hello Noel,

What about using one of our 40pin ECIO devices with a breadboard or a piece of veroboard?
