Issue is still present using ppp shipped with V5.
For example I have got Flowchart set to 16F877a
It allowed a 16F883 to be programmed in EB006 with no warnings or pop up messages.
PPP 3.13.17.32
Firmware 7
Can program wrong target devices without warnings

Re: Can program wrong target devices without warnings
I have had a similar one
Flowchart was for a 16F876, programmed it into a 16F877A without any warnings
This was from FC5.2

Re: Can program wrong target devices without warnings
Hello. The issue is with PPP, not Flowcode, and I think was introduced in Flowcode v4.5. I believe its down as low priority issue at present but I can see how this can cause unexpected headaches so will see if we can raise this and maybe release a patch around the time the first of AVR/ARM/PIC16 is released with this fix in.

Hi Jonny,
Reason I posted in V5 issues is because its ppp that is shipped with V5

I do agree its not technically a V5 Flowcode issue.medelec35 wrote:Issue is still present using ppp shipped with V5.

No, but you're right - its something packaged with Flowcode that needs to be sorted. If anyone has accidentally tried to program the wrong chip and not been warned it's obviously more of a problem than we thought so will have a look.
Cheers,
Jonny
