PIC16F1518 Support?

Is there any reason why the PIC16F1518 isn't in the supported list of device? Can i use another ship with some modification to make it work? Or there is no way to program this chip?

Hello Speedy,

The chip is not yet supported by the version of the compiler we ship with Flowcode. It may be possible to get the device to work but we do not make the compiler so I cannot instruct you on this. Hopefully we will be able to add the 16F15xx devices into Flowcode for you in the near future. A work around for now would be to use the HiTech compiler. I think Enamul may have already posted a FCD for this device for use with HiTech.

Hi,
I have made an FCD for PIC16f1518 IC for you...you have to put that in the FCD folder in FC. If you open FC you should see then the new IC 16f1518 in the list..But you can't compile that using Boostc, you have to use Hitech compiler..which you can download from microchip...
