Hi,
could somebody please help me setup my dev board, basically when I use the PPPv3 stand alone app I can send the test hex file to the board no problem, however when I try to write to the chip from flowcode instead of the PPPv3 app it says sucsess but the programming light on the dev board does not flash and the chip is not programmed ?
Thanks in advance

Hi Stuart,
Can you detect chip from pppv3 which pop up when you enter into config screen in FCv5? You said you can use pppv3 alone but can't use FCv5 pppv3...did you installed pppv3 separately?
If your same usb works on pppv3 standalone in that case it's not a driver issue rather just a PPPv3 with v5 compiler and programmer option might not correct..

Hi Enamul,
Yes in the set chip options in FC5 it will detect the chip, I think it may be the wrong parameters in the programmer options window, not sure what they should be though, I have asked on here but nothing back yet, also I did install PPPv3 again when I installed the board drivers...
thanks

Re: HP48800 Dev Board Setup
Hi Stuart,
I am suggesting you a one simple solution you can try...In FCV5 go to build>compiler options then in programmer tab..see the location of pppv3...I think it's not the standalone one rather it's came with FCV5 tools one..so take a screen shot of this page and save so that you can revert back to default if anything goes wrong..
Now..find out the link for your standalone pppv3 that you installed separately. Put the pppv3.exe link of that in the location of FCV5 Build>compiler options>programmer tab

Hi Enamul,
Yes I have just swapped the PPP app in location window to the other PPP installation but it is the same, when you go to compile to chip the chip setup dialog box opens....
thanks

Re: HP48800 Dev Board Setup
It's better to wait for tomorrow in that case. Ben must have some solution..I don't have HP488 board and that's why can't locate real problem. Don't worry it would be very simple issue.

Hello Acestu,
Right I would click on Build -> Compiler options and then in the Comp Options window select default from the drop down option list.
Next click on the programmer tab and ensure your programmer settings look like this. Remove " (x86)" for a 32bit computer.
Hopefully doing this should get you up and running. Let me know how you get on.
